Calicut Varsity BTech NRI Admission

Kochi, June 18, 2012: Applications have been invited for admission to BTech Course under NRI Quota in the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Calicut University, Thenhipalam, in the following branches for the Year 2012-2013.

1. Electronics and Communication Engineering
2. Electrical and Electronics Engineering
3. Information Technology
4. Mechanical Engineering
5. Printing Technology

The seats under NRI Quota will be filled up from the rank list prepared by CUIET from the applicants on the basis of the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the higher secondary examination. Only those candidates who apply for admission in the prescribed form along with the required fee are eligible for admission under NRI Quota.

Educational Qualifications
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in mathematics separately, and 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together are eligible for admission.

Application Form and Fees
1) Application form and prospectus can be downloaded either from the Website:http://www.universityofcalicut.info or CUIET Website. Applications should be accompanied with a fee of Rs.1,000/-.

2) Fee can be remitted way of DD drawn in favour of Finance Officer, University of Calicut, and payable at at SBT Calicut University Branch.

Documents to be Enclosed Along With Application
1) Attested copy of Higher Secondary Examination
2) Attested copy of any one of the following to prove NRI status
a) Copy of the employment certificate
b) Copy of relevant pages of passport containing visa details.
c) Certificate issued by a Scheduled bank stating that he / she is an NRI holding an NRI account

The completed application together with fee and supporting documents should reach the Principal, Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kohinoor, Thenhipalam P.O., Malappuram- 673 636 on or before 25-06-2012.
