Kochi,Feb 13,2013 : Students aspiring for engineering education have been facing a difficult time with the Kerala and JEE-Main (online) entrance exam dates clashing. The dates given to students for the JEE-Main online exams are April 9, 22, 23 and 25, though the CBSE had earlier given a window between April 8 to 25 for the same. Students have been asked to make the registration for the same in between Feb 1 and 15. Now the April 9 and 25 dates are filled, and students are asked to take one from 22nd or 23rd. These are the dates on which the Kerala engineering entrance is scheduled.
As per CBSE directions, students who had registered for online exam initially cannot shift to offline exam. For offline exam, the centres in Kerala are Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram only. So the  students from central Kerala had opted for online test for JEE Main.
When contacted CBSE officials told Mathrubhumi Education Online that they will sort it out by allowing Kerlaite students to appear for online test either on 9th or on 25th. But till now co communication has been relesed by the Board. Students trying to register slots now get only 22nd or 23rd. Mathrubhumi Education Online then called Kerala Entrance Commissioner Mavoji today and he assured that he will look into it and take this matter with govt.
